Month 5. February 2011. Alina Marie Brady, an angel gone too soon.

Alina Marie Brady...  an angel gone too soon

Our love and prayers go out to the family and friends of Alina Marie Brady, a 12-year old cheerleader at Cheer Florida Allstars. She passed away at school on Tuesday, February 8, from an unknown heart condition.

The picture at the top left is of Alina's Cheer Florida gym family. The walls are filled with messages of love and remembrance...

Alina was a caring young girl who attended St. Joan of Arc Catholic School and helped out as a buddy on her gym's special needs team. She loved to cheer and was kind to others. Alina had cheered rec before becoming an allstar cheerleader.

That first night, gym owner Rob Goldstein, special needs team coach Melissa Jablonski, and many athletes, family and friends gathered outside Cheer Florida Allstars' gym in Coconut Creek. They held hands, shed tears, remembered Alina and prayed. They released balloons to symbolize her trip to heaven. They wrote messages on paper and posted them on the walls inside their gym. Later, they plan to make them into a book for her family. Grief counselors were on hand to help talk with the children, and they were at school the next day too.

Cheer Florida Allstars has canceled their upcoming competition in Wellington, and they won't compete again until NCA Nationals in Dallas. It will be tough for them.

Melissa Jablonski, who has coached and known Alina since she was a little girl said it would be especially hard for her daughter Ashley, who was a longtime friend and base alongside Alina. They were also both buddies on the special needs team.

Rob Goldstein created a touching tribute "One Heart" to Alina in this video. It shows a vibrant fun loving little girl at Cheerleading Worlds, the beach, and having fun with family and friends.

We've posted many of the photos that have come in to remember Alina's family and her Cheer Florida Allstars - teams from all across the U.S.A. and even Germany and France have united in support!

Alina's friends asked everyone to wear RED and a little PURPLE (it was her favorite color) to cheer practice on Monday or Tuesday (February 14th or 15th) to remember her ♥ !!!! Click here to attend the facebook event. Please take pictures of your teams and share them. Her friends plan to make a scrap book for her family.

In a month where women's heart health is our cause, this is especially poignant. The Sun Senintel ran this obituary, and it's been determined that she most likely had a malformed heart. Her family's faith and love from friends is getting them through.

If you would like to share a message of encouragement, please visit the facebook tribute page Alina Marie Brady, We Love You... There are beautiful messages on her personal facebook page from Alina's close friends.

Instead of flowers, the family is asking that any donations in Alina's memory be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic School, 299 SW Fourth Street, Boca Raton.

"5-6-7-8! Alina ur being based now by hands so GREAT!"

When those we love go away
They never really leave us
They are the wind that blows
The diamond glint of snow
The sunlight on ripened grain
The gentle autumn’s rain
The soft stars that shine at night
For we don’t need them in our sight
To know they are near
For love wraps itself around the heart
So we always have them here.
