Months 8 & 9. Stay Strong Alyssa Loschiavo.

Alyssa needs your prayers & support! Join the heart of the cheer & dance world as a part of TEAM ALYSSA and pray for our daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin & friend.

On May 12, 2011, 14 year old Alyssa 'Ace' Loschiavo was struck by a vehicle while crossing a busy street in West Seneca, New York - a suburb of Buffalo. She was airlifted by Mercy Flight to the Erie County Medical Center where she remains in critical condition in the trauma intensive care unit in the fight of her life. Alyssa is the daughter of Don and Kim Loschiavo and a loving sister to Crystal, Nick, Kaycee and Gabbie. She is a fun, talented, energetic girl with a great laugh who has been an all star cheerleader for both Buffalo eNvY (Buffalo, NY) and Outlaws (Lockport, NY), as well as her school team. You will never see Alyssa without a smile on her face!

Besides being an amazing cheerleader & loving her Western New York teams, Alyssa is a HUGE fan of Top Gun, Cheer Extreme and World Cup All Stars, with Maddie Gardner & Erica Englebert being among her cheer idols! She is also a huge fan of Justin Beiber and Big Time Rush, with one of her favorite songs being 'Look At Me Now' by Chris Brown.

Alyssa's family and friends have set up facebook groups as a way for everyone near and far to send her prayers and words of encouragement. The two pages are 'Stay Strong Alyssa' and 'Pray for Alyssa Loschiavo'. Alyssa has received prayers from cheer teams from all over the world, including Australia, Germany and France! If you have not already, please join these two groups to offer prayers and support to Alyssa and her family.

With so many people keeping Alyssa in their prayers, her family has set up a third facebook page with updates on how she is doing. This page is called 'Alyssa Loschiavo Recovery Updates'. They have also requested bows be placed on the front porch of their home with a message of support and encouragement for Alyssa.

If you are interested in having a bow placed (and you are not in the Buffalo, NY area), please send them to the following address and we will place them on her front porch for you.

So many of you have asked about the 'Team Alyssa' t-shirts, bows and bracelets that you have seen others wearing in different facebook pictures. Alyssa's family set up a website which would allow our cheer family near and far to purchase these items. The website is now active and orders can be placed. Please check out to place your order.

You can also wear a free Twibbon on your facebook or twitter profile pic to show your support. Click here to go to the site to get yours right now!

If you have a picture of your team wearing pink for Alyssa, please post it on the 'Stay Strong Alyssa' page with your team name and where you are from, as we know one day we will be able to show her how the world has come together in her time of need. Alyssa is going to be amazed at what the cheer world has come together to do, just for her.

Alyssa's family and friends have planned a benefit to help with her continued care & recovery. We have finally been able to iron out all the details & the long awaited information is now here!! This amazing event will take place on Wednesday July 20, 2011 at Page's Paradise Island, 4701 Transit Rd, Depew, New York 14043. Tickets are $20 (kids under 10 free) and includes entrance to the benefit, rock climbing wall, neon miniture golf, food, soda & music by DJ Anthony of Kiss 98.5. There will also be a HUGE theme tray auction and special guest appearances from the Buffalo Jills (NFL Buffalo Bills cheerleaders) and the Buffalo Sabres (NHL team)!!!!!! If you are in the Buffalo, NY area, I would love to see you there! As a member of Alyssa's benefit committee, I am reaching out to my cheer family worldwide to help make this event a huge success. We will be having a theme tray auction at the benefit and would love any type of cheer gear, gym or team apparel, autographed bows, etc. from all over the world to be included.
